THE LIBERTY 2.5 MW WIND TURBINE

The Liberty turbine was designed by Clipper in partnership with the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and its National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), which provided funding for development as well as facilities and support for extensive drivetrain and blade testing. As a result, an ‘Outstanding Research and Development Partnership Award’ was issued to Clipper by DOE in 2007, highlighting Clipper’s “outstanding contribution toward industry advancements”, and recognizing “the Liberty wind turbine, which attained unparalleled levels of efficiency and reliability and reduced cost of energy.

GE 4.1-113

GE’s 4.1-113 combines a proven design with GE’s unparalleled reliable technology to deliver the only built for purpose offshore wind turbine. The 4.1-113 is designed specifically for the offshore environment, with reliability and availability as the primary drivers. This machine includes direct-drive technology, built-in redundancy in the generator and converter, and in-situ repair capabilities, providing unique value to offshore wind farm operators.

WindFlow 500

The Windflow 500 combines cost-effectiveness, simplicity and reliability in a world leading design. The turbine has been designed to solve the problems of traditional turbine designs and to meet IEC WT 01 (Class 1A) certification – for strong winds and turbulent conditions. Its size, performance and light-weight design makes it suitable for wind farms, islanded power, and single installations.

Nordic N1000

The N1000 1MW turbine implements a lighter, simpler design than traditional wind turbines, providing a lower overall cost of energy and greater reliability. In traditional turbine design, the amount of construction material is proportional to the anticipated wind loads. The N1000’s revolutionary “flexible design” evens out the impact of turbulence and wind shear without adding material and weight. This patented design approach is based on precise calculations of the eigenfrequency oscillations of the entire system and configures the turbine so that high component loads never occur.

Aeronautica 29-225

At less than 180’ tall on a 40m monopole tower, the 29 -225 is a great stall-regulated wind turbine that will fit on many suburban and urban properties. It ships in standard shipping containers, making delivery to most locations a breeze. Erection can be made by readily available smaller cranes that can be mobilized easily. It’s simplicity of design has created both a robust and very cost effective turbine for commercial, industrial or municipal needs.
